Boston: Police recovered $70,000 worth of jewelry stolen from a family whose plane landed at Logan Airport. The Rakka-Vineet Agarwal family, who had come to Boston for a relative’s wedding, lost their jewellery.
The family, who had arrived in Boston from Los Altos, California at around 1:15 p.m., were exiting the airport with their children and boarding a taxi when they realized the bag was missing. Agarwal said that the police were immediately contacted but the jewelery and watch worth $70,000 in the bag were stolen.
An investigation by Massachusetts State Police using airport surveillance cameras identified a 47-year-old man from Norwood as behind the robbery, along with the missing jewelry. Jewelery was recovered from him.
