An alcoholic man who was causing trouble in his building was attacked with an ax by two of his neighbors on Monday evening in Namur, the Namur prosecutor’s office said on Tuesday. The two individuals might be placed under arrest warrant for attempted murder.
The facts took place around 11:00 p.m. in an apartment building on rue du Lombard. Annoyed by the behavior of the victim, the two neighbors on the ground floor decided to do battle with him. They then struck him in the face with the back of the axe, without using the sharp side.
Hospitalized, the victim finally had a few stitches. The two neighbours, also alcoholics, were deprived of their liberty, pending the decision of the investigating judge.
