Coop, Migros and Denner recall cheeses because of listeria
A whole series of German-speaking cheeses must be withdrawn from sale and those purchased must not be consumed.

Coop
The large distributors Coop, Migros announced on Monday the withdrawal of a whole series of cheeses because of suspicions of listeria. The Coop communicated: “Käserei Studer AG and Coop are recalling various cheeses as a preventive measure. These products may contain listeria. They represent a potential health risk and it is therefore recommended not to consume them”.
Products purchased between June 12 and today
At Coop, 17 products are affected by this measure. These are various cheeses of the brands Alter Schweizer bio, Raclette in slices bio Demeter, Bodenseekäse bio, Der scharfe Maxx, Raclette Füürtüfel and Der Edle Maxx 365. The recall concerns “products purchased between June 12, 2023 and today. ‘today’.
On the Migros side, we find the same cheese brands but also Bio Familie Chaes, Die Zarte Klara and Thurgauer Waelle Chaes. Consumers are asked to bring them back and they will be reimbursed.
Denner’s turn
This Tuesday, it’s Denner’s turn to recall cheeses, for the same reasons. These are also Käserei Studer products: Der scharfe Maxx, semi-hard cheese, 240 g. Der edle Maxx 365, 220 g. Alter Schweizer, 220 g and Der scharfe Maxx, semi-hard cream cheese, 200 g. All products of these brands are affected, regardless of the expiry date and regardless of the Denner store in which they were purchased. Customers should not consume these cheeses and bring them back to the store for reimbursement.
