The Casablanca Stock Exchange closed on Thursday down, the MASI having fallen by 0.19%, to 11,988.62 points (pts).

The MASI.20, an index comprising the 20 most liquid stocks, lost 0.09%, to 972.03 pts, and the MASI.ESG, an index of companies with the best ESG ratings, as published by Moody’s ESG Solutions. , lost ground by 0.38%, to 898.62 pts.

The MASI Mid and Small Cap, thematic index which calculates the price performance of small and medium-sized companies listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, fell by 0.08%, to 963.62 pts.

On the international side, the FTSE CSE Morocco 15, made up of the 15 main securities of the Casablanca Stock Exchange, classified by market capitalization, and the FTSE CSE Morocco All-Liquid, a benchmark index which traces the performance of all the liquid securities of the Stock Exchange , respectively left 0.2%, at 11,065.41 pts and 0.31%, at 10,045.14 pts.

At the end of the day, 8 stocks were down once morest 12 up. Three stocks closed the session on a stable note.

At the sector level, the pharmaceutical sector recorded the strongest increase (+1.9%), followed by the engineering and industrial capital goods sector (+1.81%), and the transport sector (+0, 93%).

On the other hand, the electricity index showed the largest drop (-2.79%), followed by the leisure and hotel index (-1.06%), and the telecommunications index ( -0.88%).

The overall volume of trade was 36.64 million dirhams (MDH) made on the Central Market (Shares) and dominated by transactions relating to Itissalat Al-Maghrib (5.86 MDH), Akdital (5.79 MDH) and Attijariwafa Bank (5.48 MDH).

As for market capitalization, it exceeded 620.19 billion dirhams (MMDH).

Individually, M2m Group (-3.99% to 696 dirhams (DH)), Cih (-3.17% to 348.5 DH), Aluminum du Maroc (-2.99% to 1,300 DH), Taqa Morocco (-2.79% to 1,115 DH) and Sanlam Morocco (-2.44% to 1,200 DH) made the biggest drops.

Conversely, the highest increases were recorded by Stroc Industrie (+3.82% to 34.78 DH), SM Monétique (+3.69% to 174 DH), Bmci (+2.56% to 480 DH), Sothema (+2.13% to 1,199 DH) and Managem (+1.91% to 1,865 DH).
