For small businesses, it’s the jackpot. The small bottle of water of 50 cl sells for 2.60 euros in some stores, twice as expensive as in supermarkets. Alexandre Mounier, environmental activist, tracks down these famous water points. Of the two stores tested in the city center with us, none have fountains. In France, 25 million plastic bottles are thrown away every day. “All these plastic bottles, of course, there are some that we find in nature. Proof of this is, today, 70% of the waste found on the beaches is plastic”he explains.
