Last Sunday, at the border between Morocco and Spain, two Belgian families, each with four children aged 1 to 15 in their car, were arrested smuggling hashish. Their cars contained a total of no less than 200 kilos of drugs.
Both parents were arrested. The eight children, four brothers and four sisters, were taken care of on the spot by the authorities.
The drugs were hidden in specially made spaces under the carpet, and even under the seats on which the young children sat.
The two families were probably returning from Morocco to our country following a vacation. The parents were arrested and detained in Ceuta prison, where they will soon appear before the investigating judge. The eight children, all aged between 1 and 15, were placed at the disposal of the juvenile prosecutor’s office and are being cared for by the child protection service.
