More than a thousand boxes of pralines were seized on Tuesday in the Antwerp district of Deurne during an operation carried out by the federal agency for the safety of the food chain (Afsca), in collaboration with the local police.
The chocolates, which came from Bulgaria, actually contained banned drugs, specifically erotic stimulants. The Afsca had been informed beforehand of the delivery of pralines.
