Rare events occur in German, literally “all holy times”, in English-speaking countries, on the other hand, they say “once in a blue moon”. This means when there are two full moons within a month, an event that occurs every 2.4 years on average. This August it was that time once more: After a full moon on August 1st, you might enjoy the sight of a second full moon, a “blue moon” – at least where the cloud cover allowed it.
