Although the summer transfer window closed last Friday, Eintracht Frankfurt announced another transfer on Tuesday evening. Krisztián Lisztes has signed with the SGE until 2029. However, the 18-year-old Hungarian will not move to Frankfurt until next summer.

Eintracht has long been associated with Ferencváros Budapest’s home-grown team. Now the SGE has secured the signature of the Hungarian U21 national player a year in advance. Lisztes has signed for five years until 2029.

SGE sporting director Timmo Hardung explained the transfer: “Krisztián Lisztes hasn’t just been the focus of our attention in the past few months. It is all the more important that we have an important squad position in our plans with another highly talented player at this early stage We are also pleased to be able to show him good prospects at Eintracht Frankfurt. We are convinced that Krisztián will initially continue his development in a familiar environment and receive even more competition practice. We look forward to welcoming him next season to welcome you to Frankfurt with all its intensity, dynamism and direct and indirect goal threat.”

The son of the ex-Bundesliga player of the same name (206 appearances for Stuttgart, Gladbach and Bremen) can be used variably in the offensive. Lisztes prefers to play on the ten, but can also play on both flanks. In the U21 national team, on the other hand, he is often used as a center forward.

It is unclear how high the fee will be. Lisztes was actually under contract with Ferencváros until 2026.
