Indian Football Team Gears Up for SAFF U-19 Championship in Dammam: A Closer Look

The Indian football team reached Al Hasa in Dammam as part of the warm-up matches for the SAFF U-19 Championship. Shuventhu Panda, the head coach of the 23-member team, has also reached Dammam with the team.

Malayali team asst. Coach BB Thomas and Shehin Mohammad (Physio) have two Malayali players in the team. The Malayalee players in the team are midfielder Ebin Das, the reserve player of Kerala Blasters from Thiruvananthapuram, and Thomas K Cherian, the star defender of Gokulam Kerala FC.

Team coach BB Thomas said that the team that participated in the friendly matches with the Saudi team will be able to win the title with a good performance in the SAFF Games. The SAFF Under-19 Championship will be held in Kathmandu, Nepal from 21st of this month. India are in Group B along with Bhutan and Bangladesh. Former Indian football player Syed Hussain (Hyderabad), Dammam Focus Academy drivers Sunir NP, Fawas Illikal, Adil, Ajmal Kolakadan, Naseem Abdurrahman, Anshad Kavil and Dammam Indian Football Association President Mujeeb Kalathil visited the team and wished them success.
