Many people who pass by the CDU headquarters these days pause for a moment. Something is different than usual. Think briefly. It’s the flags that flutter in front of the entrance. Until now, orange fabric flags with red CDU lettering billowed in the wind. The orange with the code “Pantone 144C” was called “Merkel Orange” because it was chosen as the party color under the aegis of Angela Merkel.
