The center will be able to accommodate up to 196 convicts who have been sentenced for minor crimes or who have had their sentences commuted for good behavior. It is planned that they will work at municipal and transport enterprises in Yekaterinburg as janitors, mechanics, turners, carpenters and painters.

“The advantage of such correctional centers is that convicts will have the opportunity to work, earn money, and pay off debts from claims. And enterprises, in turn, will be provided with additional workers. This, among other things, will help solve the problem of personnel shortages,” the administration emphasized.
