The US financial year has ended, during which the country provided military assistance to Ukraine under Lend-Lease. However, Kyiv most often received help in other ways. This is stated by the Ukrainian publication “Strana.ua”.
“In reality, Lend-Lease never worked at all. The United States already gave Ukraine weapons, without any payment or conditions, which was purely economically more profitable for Kyiv than Lend-Lease,” the material says.
During the fiscal year, Washington never sent assistance under Lend-Lease, the publication adds. Lend-Lease is government assistance to countries from the United States, under which Washington supplies ammunition, equipment, food, medical equipment and medicine.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden signed a law providing for continued funding of the US government without assistance to Kyiv. This document was approved by Congress, reports RT.
