Number of community service assignments increased slightly – domestically

Vienna – The number of civilian servants remains stable. By September of this year, 12,832 young men had decided to do community service; in the same period last year there were a similar number of 12,726. In terms of allocations to the institutions, there was a slight increase of 3.2 percent with 10,033 civilian service members in the first nine months of 2023, explained Claudia Plakolm (ÖVP), State Secretary for Youth and Community Service, at a press conference on Thursday.
