Bratislava – Dominic Thiem surprisingly failed in the round of 16 at the Tennis Challenger tournament in Bratislava. The top seed from Lower Austria was defeated on Thursday by 22-year-old Canadian Gabriel Diallo, number 164 in the world, 1:6.6:4.6:7(5). In the ATP ranking, the 30-year-old will fall a few positions from 72nd place. After the hard court tournament in Slovakia, Thiem now continues in Antwerp and at the Erste Bank Open in Vienna.
