Washington/Moscow – A US-Russian journalist has been arrested in the Russian city of Kazan. Alsu Kurmasheva is accused of not reporting “as a foreign agent,” her employer Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty said on Wednesday. The journalist faces up to five years in prison, the US-funded broadcaster said and called for her immediate release.
