Do Covid-19 and the vaccine increase the frequency of migraines? – In the news

Over the past three years, the worsening of migraine episodes may have been associated with contamination by Covid-19 or the vaccine. However, a recent study carried out on the subject confirms the very thin correlation between these two points. Explanations.

According to Spanish researchers*, Covid-19 and the vaccine once morest this coronavirus have little effect on migraine. Thus, according to a study carried out among 550 patients followed for an episode of migraine, 247 of them had contracted Covid-19 once. And 458 were vaccinated.

But it seems that this is just a perception. Because when investigators looked at information from patients’ electronic diaries, they observed no significant differences in headache frequency one month before and following infection or vaccination

Reassure patients
