Over the past three years, the worsening of migraine episodes may have been associated with contamination by Covid-19 or the vaccine. However, a recent study carried out on the subject confirms the very thin correlation between these two points. Explanations.

But it seems that this is just a perception. Because when investigators looked at information from patients’ electronic diaries, they observed no significant differences in headache frequency one month before and following infection or vaccination
Reassure patients
« In the case of COVID-19, we have previously reported that headaches are a common and disabling symptom of the infection, yet this is not necessarily linked to an increase in migraine frequency », Describes Professor Melgarejo. “ In light of our results, we believe that clinicians should convey a more reassuring message to patients that COVID-19 and COVID-19 vaccines may have a marginal effect on the course of migraine.
