After keeping her fans waiting for more than an hour, Madonna appeared on the stage of the Sportpaleis in Antwerp on Saturday evening for a sold-out and spectacular concert, once once more confirming her status as “queen of pop”.
The American pop mega-star launched a major tour of Europe and North America last week in London. Entitled “Celebration Tour”, it retraces Madonna’s 40-year career.
The concert was therefore an opportunity to dance to the sound of the singer’s greatest hits, from “Holiday” which revealed her in 1983 to “Like A Prayer”, including “Get Into The Groove”.
Three and a half months following her stay in intensive care for a bacterial infection, Madonna did not skimp on the means to impress the public, taking care of the scenography and costumes as well as the choreography.
A second concert by the artist is planned for this Sunday in the same room.
