Two framed works of art, plenty of space on the bookshelves, an empty desk: it is clear that Thomas Oberreiter has only recently moved into his office in the administration building in the EU quarter in Brussels. The 57-year-old Upper Austrian has been Austria’s representative to the European Union since September 1st. He heads more than 150 employees from all ministries.
