What do malignant brain tumors, atrial fibrillation and portal hypertension have in common? Although they all affect numerous people, they still pose a mystery to medicine and research. New research funding is now intended to provide a remedy: this is from the Ludwig Boltzmann Society (LBG) brought into being Funding program for clinical research groups (KFG) supports research initiatives with a focus on patient-oriented, medically relevant topics in the area of non-commercial clinical research. Three research groups are now being funded, whose work will be supported with eight million euros each for a period of up to eight years.
