The police have issued a wanted notice once morest a man suspected of sexually touching a 10-year-old girl at the “Ter Polder” municipal swimming pool in Bredene.
The child was at the swimming pool with his grandparents in Bredene. She was swimming when the man allegedly offered to improve her swimming techniques, while caressing her chest and buttocks. Uncomfortable, the young girl wanted to leave the pool, but the man allegedly grabbed her and hugged her. He also allegedly repeated his actions in the shower.
The suspect was filmed by the pool’s video surveillance cameras when he returned there a week later, but has not returned since.

This is a man who measures between 1m70 and 1m80, is between 40 and 50 years old and has shaved hair. He spoke in Dutch. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a dark jacket, blue denim pants and bright blue sneakers. He was in possession of a dark “Basic-Fit” branded backpack with orange stripes.
