In our preview of RoboCop: Rogue City I made a small mistake. Not on my conclusion, because in the end fairly average critical feedback unfortunately proved me right. In fact, I had classified myself as a “reasonable” fan when ultimately I nabbed the game placing me de facto as a “hardcore fan”. The feedback from the players is quite enthusiastic for Teyon’s game released this November 2.
So, if you are not particularly attracted to RoboCop, you will find the exploration tedious, be drunk by the sounds of the Cyborg’s footsteps and reduce them in the menus. Like some critics, you won’t like it and you will have spent your money for nothing. For the others, or even fans of the 80s, you will undoubtedly immerse yourself with joy in this well-transcribed universe, now situated between retrofuturism and dystopia. The game is necessarily not without its flaws, but it is a vibrant homage to a bygone era, which is now available on Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox Series and PlayStation 5.
