A result which places the Canaries in 8th place with 18 points while Westerlo cannot escape the red zone and remains 15th with 11 points.

It only took five minutes for the visitors to open the score. After a messy action on the outskirts of the rectangle, Eric Bocat sent a slightly curling shot between four defenders and deceived Sinan Bolat (5th, 0-1). But Westerlo only took ten minutes before recovering and, thanks to a close-range post shot from Emin Bayram, restored equality (15th, 1-1).

Shortly following the half-hour mark, Westerlo took the advantage with a great offensive with Nicolas Madsen finishing in a style reminiscent of the first goal of the evening with a shot between several defenders, unstoppable for Zion Suzuki (33rd, 2 -1).

In a livelier second half, Saint-Trond, dominant, would come out on top at the start of the last quarter of an hour. On a hand fault in the rectangle, the VAR awarded a penalty to the visitors. Aboubakary Koita was responsible for converting it to restart the match (77th, 2-2). A few minutes before the final whistle, Koita scored a double by scoring a superb free kick from the edge of the area (88th, 2-3).

The end of the match looked completely crazy with the locals equalizing. Matija Frigan scored her team’s third goal by slightly deflecting Jordan Bos’ shot to deceive the goalkeeper and make the crowd behind the cages explode with joy (90th+1, 3-3).
