Danny, the suspect in the double homicide in Denderhoutem, was released by the judicial authorities this Monday, November 13: “The final decision to impose in particular a restrictive contact order and to let him go free was taken in consultation with the police and following an in-depth analysis of the official reports submitted to the public prosecutor’s office. The bodies of the victims aged 54 and 22 were found on Saturday in a house on Borrekent Street. The suspect, aged 51, is the husband of the 54-year-old woman and the father-in-law of her son. He is still wanted and allegedly committed an act of desperation.

The woman had filed a complaint on Friday morning for harassment once morest her husband. Their relationship lasted 18 years but following a breakup, there was harassment, although there was no question of physical assault.
