Mikel explains that he recently spoke with Eden Hazard, and they talked regarding his recent retirement from professional football. “I spoke with him the other day and he said to me: ‘It’s not like I haven’t tried. When I went to Madrid, I told myself that I had to try to make effort. But I had injuries, and my body mightn’t cope.”
“’Then I told myself I was going to retire,’” Mikel continues. “Eden said to me: ‘I’ve been offered to go to Saudi Arabia, what should I do? I have a lot of money now, I don’t need this money’.”
