Windows 11 has features designed for game distribution and other purposes. One of them is video capture. Press the[Win]+[G]keys to activate the Game Bar function. To start recording, click the Start Recording button in the Capture panel. However, you can only record windows, not the desktop or Explorer. Also, I cannot move or resize the window. If multiple windows are open, the active window will be recorded, even full-screen windows can be recorded. Please note that videos and apps that are copy protected cannot be captured. To end recording, click the[Stop button]on the tool tip. You can also start and stop recording by pressing[Win]+[Alt]+[R]keys. It is recommended to use keyboard shortcuts because the mouse cursor you move to press the button will not be captured. The recorded video will be saved in the[Video]-[Capture]folder. You can also check it in the[Gallery]panel of the game bar. *This article has been confirmed to work on Windows 11 version 22H2.
