Abu Dhabi – World champion Max Verstappen has secured pole position at the Formula 1 season finale in Abu Dhabi. The Red Bull driver set the fastest time on Saturday ahead of Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc (+0.139 seconds) and Oscar Piastri (+0.337) in the McLaren. For the triple champion from the Netherlands, it was the 32nd pole of his career and the twelfth of this season. Verstappen is aiming for his 19th victory of the season at the last Grand Prix of the year, and it would be the 21st victory for Red Bull.
