Salou – The ÖFB U19 women’s team achieved something historic on Monday. Team boss Hannes Spilka’s selection defeated Iceland 6-0 (4-0) in the World Cup play-off in Salou near Barcelona following an outstanding first half and became the first Austrian women’s national team to qualify for a World Cup. The young Austrians deservedly secured their ticket to the U20 World Cup from August 31st to September 22nd, 2024 in Colombia.
