LONDON: The British Medical Association (BMA) has announced that junior doctors in the UK will go on strike once more, saying that a promised pay rise will not be enough. The NHS will struggle to properly care for patients as junior doctors in England go on strike to demand a pay rise, hospital bosses have said. It has been announced that tens of thousands of junior doctors will go on strike for three days in December and six days in January.

The strike will last for 72 hours from 7 am on December 20 to 7 am on December 23 and six days from January 3 to 9. The BMA’s junior doctors’ committee held discussions with officials from the government’s Department of Health and Social Care. But the BMA says junior doctors will receive only 3% more than the average 8.8% salary increase announced this time in the negotiations. But 35% increase is required.
