In the midst of the flu and Covid epidemics, the Convergence Nurses union is calling for a strike during the winter holidays. “Everything increases – Urssaf, the price of fuel… – except our actions. , while we were on the front line during the health crisis, we are still left behind despite inflation. Our actions have not been revalued since 2012, it is shameful.” loose Alexandra Santini, liberal nurse in Vallauris and member of the union.

Among the demands: the recognition of their profession as difficult with early retirement, the simplification of the nomenclature which allows the reimbursement of their actions and a moratorium on overpayments. “The nomenclature is so complex that there are errors on the part of nurses and health insurance. We are asking that activity control be reformed with a right to make mistakes,” explains Alexandra Santini.

No new patients

But why mobilize now? “Christmas has an impact on our activity because the hospital is suffering. Services close, staff take vacation, people want to stay at home for the holidays… but it is also the season of epidemics. We continue to see our patients but we don’t take on new ones”, continues the nurse.

If no action is taken once morest them, she assures that the mobilization will accelerate in January.
