This year the first graduates were there and there are 1,600 registered for 2024.

The Higher School of Medicine of the National University of Mar del Plata closed the school year with a toast in which glasses were raised to celebrate “for the 123 graduates, between March and last week, and that is the main reason for joy. “We complete a stage”said the dean, Dr. Adrián Alasino.

About 6 thousand inhabitants attend the building located in the La Perla neighborhood, under the tutelage of almost 500 teachers, and the Registrations for next year already reach 1600.

“There is a lot of investment here,” added the dean, “many people work and we provide the city and the area with new professionals who help fill the deficit of doctors we have.”

The brand new professionals participated in a national public competition, in all specialties, to choose the place of residence and “there are already 60 who stayed in the area and almost all of the pediatric positions at the Maternal and Child Hospital were covered.”

“Given the deficit of professionals in the area, the National University of Mar del Plata makes its contribution,” he concluded.
