“Encouraging piracy”, “a dangerous game”, “existential threat to the press”… Already battered by the vote on the immigration law, the executive had ringing ears during a round table organized by the Senate, Wednesday morning, on the final technical discussions of the European AI Act.

Representatives of the Society of Dramatic Authors and Composers (SACD), the Society of Authors, Composers and Music Publishers (Sacem), the National Publishing Union (SNE), the Society of Authors in the Graphic and Plastic Arts (ADAGP), of the Union of Magazine Press Editors (SEPM) have gone out of their way to try to encourage France to fight harder in matters of copyright. Alexandra Bensamoun, professor, member of the Generative Artificial Intelligence Committee was also present.
