Injured in the left knee Thursday evening in Ambri, Daniel Winnik will miss 6 to 8 weeks of play according to his club Genève-Servette. The 38-year-old Canadian winger will not need surgery.

Even if it’s a hard blow, Winnik is doing pretty well in his misfortune, avoiding time on the pool table at his age. He has 11 points (5 goals) in 29 games this season.
