Linz – Only ten percent of Austrians believe that faith in God is very important “to cope with their daily lives,” while another 27 percent say it is just important. However, more than half of the 800 eligible voters surveyed by the Linz Market Institute on behalf of STANDARD say that faith has little meaning for them (24 percent) or no meaning at all (34 percent). This is part of the long-term trend – just five years ago, 14 percent described faith as very personally important, and another 29 percent described it as still important.
