It was supposed to eliminate the long delays in obtaining a driving license. The government platform RdvPermis ultimately seems to extend them. This is what professionals in the sector agree to say, in several areas of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. Everyone mentions delays of several months for driving license candidates to finally get an exam date. “We have longer delays than elsewhere in Bouches-du-Rhône, very long delays even.” describes Fabrice Beau, regional director of the ECF driving school network, headquartered in Marseille. “In all of the department’s establishments, there is an 8 to 9 month wait for a second pass, in the event of failure in the first. When we have a student in serious difficulty, who is on his third or fourth passage, it’s even longer.
