CHUM emergencies under pressure! In particular, the lack of beds and operating beaches is the cause. The hospital management has announced a reorganization for this New Year’s Eve weekend. As for the Force Ouvrière du CHUM union, it is estimated that the number of patients exploded during the end-of-year holidays. A situation which causes an overload of work for the staff who have been waiting since November for ten additional beds. Faced with this situation, the union is calling a strike for the beginning of January.
