This Saturday evening around 9 p.m. an accident occurred in Gilly on the Châtelet road. In the impact, one of the cars hit a barrier and moved stones, making the situation critical on the RN 90.

Several emergency services intervened on the scene, notably the local Charleroi police and two ambulances and a SMUR. Two people were injured, a pregnant woman and a girl. They were both treated and taken to hospital.
The accident caused traffic disruptions. The local Charleroi police closed the Châtelet road and the WPR closed traffic on the Basse-Sambre road. It was necessary to ensure that the stones threatening to fall no longer presented a danger before restoring traffic.
The municipal council must relaunch a market for the appointment of a project author for the renovation and extension of the town hall. ©ÉdA
