On October 17, the Trieux police were called to intervene in a house in Fontaine-L’Evêque. After an argument with Karim, Clara (not her real name) reports to the agents that she has suffered acts of violence. “She is crying, panicked. A funny explanation
Questioned regarding the beatings denounced by his partner, the detained man explains that he “lifted his partner, who was feeling unwell, by the arms. ” “She has them frequently because of her diabetes. I pulled so hard that it hurt,” Karim mimes, reproducing the actions committed on October 17. No blow was dealt to the victim, swears the defendant.
Substitute Bouilliez, on the prosecution side, thinks the opposite. The latter also deplores the attitude of Karim, “who does not want to recognize the facts. ” Already heavily condemned in the past by the courts, Karim risks facing yet another conviction. The prosecution is seeking a prison sentence of at least 15 months, since Karim has not shown any reform.
The defense somewhat qualifies the remarks made by the defendant, by admitting the existence of a scene of violence in the legal sense of the term even if there was no direct blow. A probationary stay is requested. Judgment in two weeks.
