The spokesperson for the transitional government was the guest of the RTG television news, this Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Ousmane Gaoual Diallo announces the very soon availability of diesel in the country’s stations.

According to Ousmane Gaoual Diallo, tests were carried out on the pipelines affected by the fire following the fire at the Kaloum hydrocarbon depot. These studies, which have not yet drawn conclusions, reveal that probably “Guineans will be able to obtain diesel without quota limitations very quickly. This is something that should be effective in the next two days, probably from tomorrow, Guineans will be able to have diesel in the stations.”

As for gasoline, Ousmane Gaoual Diallo indicates that a little more time is needed, a solution is seen. He recalls that the day the fire took place, a boat was unloading at the Port of Conakry. “He interrupted when there was the explosion. 14,000 cubic meters of this boat were unloaded in Freetown. These stocks will come little by little.”

The minister also affirms that 5 million hydrocarbons from Côte d’Ivoire in support of Guinea are struggling to reach the country. But according to him, a logistical problem arises “because more than 300 trucks are needed to transport these hydrocarbons. We have not yet finished experiencing its consequences of this crisis, we must remain patient.”
