These men and women who will spend their first night in the dungeon are members of the Patriotic Youth of Senegal (JPS). They were arrested by the police during a local visit called operation Fateu Fepp, while they were raising awareness among the population regarding the withdrawal of voter cards.
At the preliminary investigation, they were questioned for the offenses of illegal occupation of the public highway, disturbance of public order, participation in an unauthorized demonstration, among others.
