Two years following the disappointing European Championships in Slovakia and Hungary, Austria’s handball players want to provide highlights at the European Championships in Germany. After a flawless qualification, the self-confidence is just as great as the challenge. In what team boss Ales Pajovic calls a “brutal group”, at least one of the two top nations, Spain and Croatia, has to be defeated in order to achieve the hoped-for promotion to the main round.
