Kyiv: President Vladimir Zelensky has offered citizenship to foreigners and Ukrainians in other countries who come forward to fight with Ukraine in the war once morest Russia. Zelenskiy’s statement was made while addressing the nation on Ukraine’s Unity Day. Zelensky announced that Ukraine would offer dual citizenship to foreign nationals and would submit his proposal to parliament for approval. For this, a proposal will be submitted to the Parliament to make changes in the Constitution. But Zelensky also stated that citizenship will not be given to Russians. The Russian occupation of Ukraine is approaching two years. Russia declared war on Ukraine on February 24, 2022. Since then, Zelensky has been calling for the unity of Ukrainians. Ukraine is heavily dependent on foreign countries for military and economic needs.
