Public Opinion Poll: Positive Evaluation of People Power Party Emergency Response Committee Chairman vs. Democratic Party Leader – Survey Results

A public opinion poll was released on the 25th showing that the positive evaluation of People Power Party Emergency Response Committee Chairman Han Dong-hoon was 47%, which was higher than the 35% positive evaluation of Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung.

According to the National Index Survey (NBS) conducted by Embrain Public, K-Stat Research, Korea Research, and Korea Research on 1,001 men and women over the age of 18 across the country from the 22nd to the 24th, Chairman Han Dong-hoon was ‘doing well’ in his duties. The survey found that 47% of respondents said they were doing it wrong, and 40% said they were doing it wrong.

Among the moderates, positive and negative evaluations were similar at 42% and 44%, respectively. By region, Daegu and Gyeongbuk (TK) recorded a positive evaluation of 67% and a negative evaluation of 25%, while Gwangju and Jeolla had a positive evaluation of 33% and a negative evaluation of 48%. By age, positive evaluations were highest in those in their 70s (71%) and 60s (58%), while negative evaluations were highest in those in their 40s (60%) and 30s (50%).

The evaluation of CEO Lee Jae-myung’s job performance was 35% saying he was ‘doing well’ and 56% saying he was ‘doing poorly’. Among Democratic Party supporters, 76% had positive evaluations and 21% had negative evaluations.

By region, Gwangju and Jeolla had 52% positive evaluations and 41% negative evaluations, while TK had 20% positive evaluations and 71% negative evaluations. By age, those in their 40s (51%) and 50s (44%) evaluated CEO Lee’s job performance positively, while those in their 30s (60%) viewed it negatively.

This survey was conducted through a telephone interview using a mobile phone virtual number (100%), and the response rate was 17.7%. The sampling error is ±3.1%p at the 95% confidence level. For more information, please refer to the National Election Opinion Survey Deliberation Committee website.
