Through a statement, the Board of Directors of the Workers’ Union Union, USO, spoke out upon learning that Luis Ángel Quintana Toloza, secretary of collective affairs, accepted that he was the intellectual author of the death of Sibaris Lamprea Vargas, his partner, last September 10, 2022.
“As we were informed, on December 19, 2023, just 18 days following pleading not guilty in the preliminary hearings, Mr. Luis Ángel Quintana Toloza voluntarily submitted an interrogation procedure in which he accepted his responsibility in the murder of Sibaris. , stating that the decision to put the money to kill him was due to the fact that he disliked him, he thought he was a bad human being and he played with the work of others,” the USO reported.

Quintana Toloza paid six million pesos to the hitmen to end the life of his partner, who worked as secretary of administrative affairs.
“We find Quintana’s statements chilling and shameful. He terrifies us that a member of the USO, with cold blood and without any qualms, has made the decision to murder a colleague of his, also a union leader, claiming that “it bothered him,” the union added.
Although the USO highlighted the work that the Prosecutor’s Office has carried out to clarify the crime, it pointed out that there might have been other reasons beyond the fact that the victim disliked the murderer.
“We insist that it is necessary to find the true reasons why the life of our colleague Sibaris was blinded. It is clear to us that the argument presented by Quintana attempts to divert attention from the real motive for the homicide and perhaps those most responsible,” the union said.
Luis Ángel, perhaps knowing that he had been under investigation, appeared weeks ago with his lawyer to voluntarily respond to the Prosecutor’s Office for this case.
