Activists threw soup on Monet painting in museum in Lyon – Art

Dijon – In Lyon, France, soup was thrown at a painting by Claude Monet on Saturday. The attack on the painting “Le Printemps” (Spring) occurred in the followingnoon, said the Museum of Fine Arts in France’s third largest city. It spoke of “vandalism” and announced a lawsuit. The affected Monet painting is through Glass protected. According to the museum, the work by the French impressionist, painted in 1872, will be examined for possible damage in the coming days.
