Tran Viet Hoang is one of the new faces but has received the love of television audiences in 2023, through two films. Life is so beautiful and War without borders. The actor born in 1998 shared with the reporter Vietnamese people regarding a memorable year, as well as revealing plans for 2024.

In 2023, Tran Viet Hoang seemed to be quite busy, can you share regarding your work?
– In 2023, I am lucky to always be in a “busy” state, having many opportunities to act on screen, especially through films from the Vietnam Television Drama Production Center, which is Life is so beautiful and War without borders both directed by Nguyen Danh Dung. The two movies were filmed back to back, so during the past year, I almost only focused on work.
Hopefully that will be a stepping stone for me to explode even more in 2024. Let me tell you a little bit, the audience will soon see me once more in a television project that will air in April/ 2024. I hope I will still receive a lot of love from everyone.
Looking back at the year 2023, Thach’s role in the movie is definitely there Life is so beautiful is an unforgettable highlight for Viet Hoang. How important is this role to you and did you ever think Thach would be loved so much?
– The time he accepted the role of Thach in the movie Life is so beautiful, I never imagined how the film would be received, what kind of reaction my character would receive. I think if I hope too much, it will make me forget to make an effort, so just focus on doing your best when you have the opportunity!
Of course, when the movie Life is so beautiful Just as the role of Thach was loved by the audience, I was extremely happy, because for the first time I was taking on a “long-term” role on television, and my efforts were somehow recognized.

Does Tran Viet Hoang think that your achievements up to now are largely due to luck? Does the actor wish to win a certain award in the new year 2024?
– After 7 or 8 years of pursuing art, of course, I’ve had a lot of luck, but based on that alone, I believe I won’t be able to move on. With that, effort is needed. The strength for directors and filmmakers to trust and give them a role.
As for the award, it is always the dream of any actor because the award is recognition from professionals as well as the audience for the artist. But once I accepted the role, I temporarily put that dream aside to focus on finding the best ways to exploit the character, making the audience impressed with me.
Tran Viet Hoang is considered by many to have a “scholarly” face. Are you afraid you will be cast in one role?
– A lot of people say I have a “gentle” face like this, can I play a role other than the student type? Honestly, if I have the opportunity, I always want to play different types of roles and yearn to renew myself in the eyes of the audience. Once you accept a role, you will always have to be conscious of clarifying the color of that character. In my next drama project, I believe it will be a colorful and different role.

How did you have your moments of rest during this Lunar New Year?
– I’ve been so busy all year, of course when Tet comes, family is always my top priority. I returned to being a member of the family, helping the family with housework during Tet, gathering with loved ones. What I like best is the feeling that on the 30th of Tet, the whole family is together once more, chatting excitedly around the year-end dinner table.
At this age, have your parents at home ever “subtly reminded” actor Viet Hoang to settle down in the family, especially during these Tet days?
– I get this question a lot from acquaintances, friends or even audiences who recognize me on the outside. But contrary to what people think, my parents always support my decisions and always hope that I can put my career first. I also think that’s the best thing right now, keep trying because your career is destined to come… it will come naturally!
Love may not be something you want, sometimes it’s simple but sometimes it’s difficult to talk regarding. Perhaps when I feel my career is more stable, it will be appropriate to start a family.

Besides acting, do you plan to develop any other direction to consider stabilizing your life?
– I always strive to have both a left and right hand job, because that way I can feel secure and take care of myself and my family. But no matter what profession, I never forget to always improve my acting to play many different roles.
Do you want to send New Year 2024 wishes to your beloved audience?
– The economy in 2023 faces many uncertainties, we hope that the audience will have a stable economic year in 2024, “money comes in like water, money goes out in a trickle”, always feel happy and have lots of luck, and have warm and interesting entertainment moments with Vietnamese movies on television.
