Hello Pokémon trainers! Be careful, a leak regarding the next set of the Pokémon TCG may have been revealed. It looks like the sixth set in the Scarlet & Violet series will be called Twilight Masquerade, and here’s everything we know so far. It’s been just regarding three days since the last Pokémon TCG release, so fans are ready for a new dose of trading cards featuring our favorite pocket monsters. It looks like Creatures Inc. is ready to fill that gap. Details are starting to leak out regarding the upcoming English-language Pokémon TCG set, with Pokebeach reporting that the next release is called Twilight Masquerade, and that it will likely be based on the upcoming Japanese set known as Mask of Change.
While not much is known, early details regarding the Japanese release called Mask of Change suggest that the set will focus on Ogerpon and several different masks for Pokémon, as shown in the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: The Teal Mask DLC.
As for the release date of the Pokémon TCG Scarlet & Violet: Twilight Masquerade, fans can expect the set to be available in the West on May 24, 2024. There is no release date yet. images or product details, so we don’t know how many there will be. We expect at least Booster Packs, a Booster Bundle, a Booster Box, and an Elite Trainer Box.
As for the cards included in the upcoming Pokémon TCG: Twilight Masquerade set, they will likely be taken from the Japanese sets known as Mask of Change and Crimson Haze. The upcoming Temporal Forces set appears to be primarily focused on the latest Paradox Pokémon, such as Iron Crown and Gouging Fire.
Thus, Twilight Masquerade should include some of the Pokémon introduced in the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: The Secret of Area Zero DLC, with plenty of Pokémon like Blood Moon Ursaluna, Hydrapple, Archaludon, and Sinistcha.
If the set is focused on Ogerpon, given the story of the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: The Teal Mask DLC, it is likely that the ‘Loyal Trio’ Pokémon that appear closely linked to Ogerpon’s story will make an appearance. This means that Twilight Masquerade might introduce new legendary Pokémon Munkidori, Okidogi, and Fezandipiti into the game.
The next Pokémon TCG set to release in the West is Pokémon TCG: Temporal Forces, which reintroduces Ace Spec cards. Therefore, Twilight Masquerade is expected to expand on this, and add new Ace Spec cards to the game.
That’s all there is to know regarding the Pokémon TCG: Twilight Masquerade for now, players. Details are still slim pending an official unveiling. If you want to check out more great Pokémon TCG guides or add new cards to your collection, check out Dexerto’s Pokémon TCG coverage now.
