Ewelina Bień, councilor of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship Assembly in 2014-2018, died suddenly at the age of 41.
She represented the Polish People’s Party from district no. 1, covering the following counties: Ostrowiec, Opatów, Sandomierz and Staszów. The problems of disabled people were particularly close to her heart.
Her death was announced on Facebook by the president of PSL, deputy prime minister Władysław Kosiak-Kamysz.
“We have received tragic news. Ewelina Bień – a wonderful social activist, mother of 5-year-old Jaś, and our dear friend, died. Despite many adversities, she looked at life with optimism every day. “We can do it!” – she told me back in September, when we were standing on the stage of the Third Way convention in Kielce. As usual, she smiled and encouraged others. This is how we will remember you. Ewelina, it’s too early. We will miss you very much…”
Ewelina Bień was a frequent guest of the “Political Studio of Radio Kielce”, representing her party.
Ewelina Bień was taken to hospital last night, but her life might not be saved.
