Apple announced on Wednesday the launch of Apple Sports, a new free application dedicated to sports meetings, the American group’s latest foray into the services market.
The technology giant explains that it has created a simple, quick and easy-to-access interface allowing users to follow match results in real time, as well as team statistics.
Initially, Apple Sports will focus on the NBA, the North American basketball championship, the NHL, the ice hockey league and Major League Soccer (MLS), the American football championship.
Football fans will also be able to follow the results of several European football championships, such as the German Bundesliga, Spanish LaLiga, French Ligue 1, English Premier League and Italian Serie A.
Apple plans to eventually also offer the results of the NFL, the national American football league.
The application is currently available for download on iPhone from the App Store in the United States, United Kingdom and Canada.
