Onur Kandemir, Boca Juniors Libramont (P1) has struggled to get going this year. For what ?

Indeed, there was a lack of regularity in terms of attendance, for various reasons. We had a different core every week. When restructuring a team, the most important thing is to recreate a collective and automatisms. And for that, there is no secret, you have to get used to playing together. The proof now. It’s been several weeks since we’ve been almost full every Friday and we can clearly see the difference in results and rankings.

Continuing nationally, wasn’t it really possible by bringing together the veterans?

We did our best to keep our team national. In fact, we had contacted several players and in particular former members of the house to complete the core and have a solid squad. But due to lack of time and available players, we had no choice but to end our national adventure.

It’s still a waste, isn’t it?

It takes a lot of effort to reach the national level and stay there for several seasons in a row. Everything comes to an end, but it would be a lie not to say that the way it ended was a disappointment.

Do you enjoy playing in P1 as much as you do nationally?

The level is clearly different tactically. Slower, too. But the pleasure remains the same since my debut in P3. Whatever the level, the main objective remains the same: above all, have fun with friends on Friday evening.

Boca is still in the Cup race. Is that the goal of the season?

It wasn’t a goal at the start, but when we get to the quarter, we want to go to the end. It would be nice to add the A Team Cup to the club’s record.

And in the championship, who does he still have to play?

The top 3 remains achievable if we continue our momentum

Would you like to go back up?

This is not a short-term objective: the aim above all is to recreate a solid team with a mixture of young and experienced players. But indeed, we keep it in the corner of our minds for the future.

In the meadows, you started the season in Freylange. You didn’t want to bounce elsewhere, following the club’s general package?

I had a few offers. But, following this bad experience, I preferred to take a step back from football. This doesn’t mean that I’m putting away my crampons for good, I know that I will be thinking once more in the months that follow.
